Hey everyone,
Well, my knee is still recovering (at least I hope it is!). I haven't been running in hopes that I can get over the IT band problems completely before the marathon. Last class, instead of running I spent 20 minutes doing a workout on a cycling machine. It felt good to get my heart rate up again after so long off, and it was a good workout for my legs as well.
I really did my best to watch my eating over turkey week. I limited myself to 2 sodas over the entire break, and I tried not to overeat too much at each of my not 1, not 2, but 3 Thanksgiving meals!
My goal is to try a short run tomorrow morning and test the waters. If my knee is feeling good, I will try to put in a decent workout this week, with a 5-7 mile run this weekend. Then I'll rest for the week before the marathon. Please be praying that my knee recovers fully!
